Goal and deal

Two or four players start with 1000 chips each and receive two private cards. Win pots with the best hand or by making everyone else fold. Small and big blinds are compulsory opening bets. The dealer position and blinds move around the table.

Goal and deal

Four stages

First bet with only your private cards known. Three community cards form the flop, followed by a fourth card, the turn, and a fifth, the river. Each stage has a betting round. All players still in the hand can use the community cards.

Fold abandons this deal; chips already committed stay in the pot. Check costs nothing and is available when there is no bet to match. Call pays the difference to the current bet. Raise to sets your total contribution in this betting round, not just the added amount. You may commit your entire stack, called all-in. A normal raise must match at least the previous full increase; a smaller all-in does not always reopen raising rights.

Hands from strongest

Straight flush, five consecutive cards of one suit; four of a kind; full house, three plus a pair; flush, five of one suit; straight, five consecutive ranks; three of a kind; two pair; one pair; high card. Your best five cards are chosen from the two private and five community cards, using two, one or none of your private cards. Ace may be low in A–2–3–4–5. Hand ranks and remaining kickers break ties, not suits.

Pots and winning

If everyone but one player folds, that player takes the pot without a comparison. All-ins can create side pots; a player can win only the portions they contributed to. Equal best hands split the relevant pot. A player without chips is eliminated. Blinds rise every three deals: 10/20, 25/50, 50/100, 100/200. The match ends with one player left or after 15 or 30 deals; at the limit, chip totals decide.
