About OMGLoft
OMGLoft is a site with classic board, card and party games that you play with real people. Everything runs in the browser, on a computer or a phone, with nothing to install and nothing to pay. We want a game of chess, tysiac or makao to be as easy as opening a page: pick a game, take a seat at a table and play.
Which games you will find here
- Strategy games: chess, checkers (also Draughts 100 and Turkish Draughts), go, xiangqi, makruk, backgammon, dominoes, ludo, dice and Word Tiles.
- Card games: tysiac, makao, bridge, poker, canasta, skat, gin rummy, durak, pan, spades, pinochle, blackjack, 3-5-8, and hearts in both the American and the Polish version.
- Solo games for a short break: sudoku, minesweeper, nonograms, spider solitaire, mahjong solitaire, Color Lines, 2048 and snake.
- Party games for a group, such as Draw & Guess.
The rules of every game, right here
Every game comes with step-by-step rules and examples, and many of them also with pictures. You can read them before your first game or during play, from the "How to play" button. If you are just learning a game, start with a casual game and leave rated ones for when you feel confident.
Ratings, tournaments and friends
Each game has its own rating based on the Glicko-2 system, with six ranks from Bronze to Grandmaster. Games with ratings also host tournaments. With an account you can add friends, message them and collect achievements. How ratings are calculated is explained in Help.
Fair draws
Chance in every game is handled by the server and its cryptographic generator, never by a player. We show the whole mechanism openly, code included, in a separate write-up: this is how we draw.
