Do I need an account?
No, you play as a guest. An account gives you a permanent name, ratings, history, friends and tournaments.
How do I play?
Pick a game, open a table or take a free seat, and press START. The game begins when everyone is ready.
What if my connection drops?
You have one minute to come back, and the game clock stops. Reloading takes you back to the same table; every page shows how much time is left.
How do you draw cards and dice?
The server draws them with the operating system's generator, so nobody can influence the result. Details and code: How we draw.
How do ratings work?
Every game has its own. Only rated games between registered accounts count.
We use the Glicko-2 system (our own implementation; it is not Elo and not an official ranking of any federation). Everyone starts at a rating of 1500 with high uncertainty, which shrinks as you play.
Your rank comes from the cautious rating, which is the rating minus twice the uncertainty (rating − 2·RD), and counts from your first game. There are 6 ranks: Bronze (from 0), Silver (1500), Gold (1750), Platinum (2000), Master (2250) and Grandmaster (2500). A "?" next to a rank means the rating is still uncertain (RD above 110).
The leaderboard shows players with RD up to 110 who played within the last 30 days. Ratings are kept separately for each game.
How do I report or block a player?
Click their name — in the list of people present or at a table — and choose REPORT or BLOCK.
