  1. In short

In blackjack one to four players play against the dealer. Get closer to 21 than the dealer without going over 21. Chips are the score of the game.

  2. Card values

Cards from 2 to 10 count their value and face cards count 10 each. An ace is 1 or 11, and the game picks the better value for you. The game uses six decks.

Blackjack: an ace and a face card from the first two cards make 21.
  3. Stake and decisions

Before the deal, choose a stake: in steps of 10, from 10 up to your available chips. You receive two cards and one dealer card stays hidden. Hit adds a card; Stand ends that hand's drawing. Going over 21 immediately loses the hand. At 21 the game ends the hand automatically.

    Going over: 10 + 6 + 9 = 25 is more than 21, so this hand loses.
  4. Doubling and splitting

With two cards and chips for a second stake, you may double down: you get exactly one card and end the hand. Two cards of equal value may be split by adding another stake, and the hands are played separately. You may have at most four hands. Face cards and tens have equal value for splitting. Split aces receive one card each and are not played further. 21 after a split is an ordinary 21, not a blackjack.

  5. Insurance and the dealer

When the dealer shows an ace, you may place half your original stake on the dealer having blackjack. If the dealer has it, insurance pays 2:1, otherwise it is lost. After the players' decisions, the dealer draws to at least 17 and also stands on soft 17, that is, one with an ace counted as 11.

  6. Payouts

Winning an ordinary hand pays a profit equal to your stake. A blackjack from the first two cards, without splitting, pays 3:2. A tie with the dealer returns your stake, and the dealer's blackjack ties only with a player's natural blackjack.

  7. The end of the game

After the set number of rounds, the player with the most chips wins. With one player, a profit against the start is a win, the same amount is a draw and a loss is a defeat. If you do not bet in time, you sit out the round: you get no cards and lose nothing. If time runs out later, the game declines insurance or ends your drawing. There is no resigning. Leaving a game in progress, or running out of time, is a forfeit by that player and ends the game for the whole table, and the others win.
