  1. Goal

    Steer the snake, eat fruit and avoid walls and your own body. Each fruit is worth 10 points and makes the snake longer. The game never ends on its own: the highest score counts.

  2. Maps

    Closed: hitting a wall ends the game. Open: the snake leaves through one edge and comes back on the opposite side, but its own body still ends the game. The record is shared by both maps.

  3. Controls

    Computer: arrow keys or WASD. Space and Enter start, pause and resume the game, Esc pauses it. Phone: swipe on the board or use the arrows under it. You cannot turn back on yourself, and two quick turns are remembered in order.

  4. Speed

    The snake speeds up with every fruit, up to a fixed limit. The game pauses by itself when the tab loses focus or you switch to another tab.

  5. Score and ranking

    The server calculates the score from your moves, so it cannot be typed in. The ranking shows the account's best score, shared by both maps. An interrupted game is saved with the score so far.
